Submission Process

SMA has adopted an online submission process for ALL manuscripts in the teaching and research tracks. To submit, please go to https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sma2018. Submission Guidelines: Research & Teaching Tracks

  1. All Paper and Presentation submissions are blind reviewed by multiple reviewers. Authors should avoid identifying themselves in the text or title. Panel sessions are reviewed by Track Chairs and/or Program Chair.   

  2. Paper submissions must not be published, accepted for publication, or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.  

  3. Complete Papers and Presentations must be submitted for review.  If accepted, the final manuscript may be published in full or summary form.

  4. Only Papers are eligible for Best Paper in Track and Best Paper in Conference awards.

  5. Documents must be formatted in MS Word, use Times New Roman 12 point font (refer to Information for Authors for details).    

  6. Email submissions to the appropriate track chair via email attachment.


Submission Types & Formats

  • Papers (P) - complete works (competitive papers)
  • Presentations (PS) early stage and incomplete works
  • Panels (PN) multi-paper, roundtables, and special panel sessions focused on a specific theme
