Emerald Publishing Emerging Scholar Award

The Society for Marketing Advances has recognized these Assistant Professors of Marketing who have made significant scholarly research contributions to the Marketing discipline early in their career:

  • Debora V. Thompson, 2009 (Ph.D. Universtiy of Maryland, 2006)
  • Robert W. Palmatier, 2008 (Ph.D. University of Missouri, 2004)

Nominations for Emerging Scholar

Submission Criteria and Procedure

 

1.  Eligible nominees are those Assistant Professors of Marketing who have completed a doctoral degree within the last four years.  For the 2010 Award, this means that the degree must have been awarded in 2006 or later.

 

2.  Nominations by colleagues or self-nominations are both acceptable.

 

3.  Each nominator or nominee must submit a brief declaration of nomination (an email is sufficient, and the content of these declarations will not be considered in determining the Award honoree).

 

4.  Each nominator or nominee should attach a Curriculum Vitae in either Word or Adobe format to the declaration of nomination. The CV should plainly list all publications and verifiable final acceptances for forthcoming publication received through the nomination deadline.  Work in progress or currently in the review process will not be considered.

 

5.  Nomination deadline is September 6, 2010.  Submit nominations to Ron Bush at rbush@uwf.edu.  Please write "SMA Emerging Scholar" in the subject line.  No hard copy materials will be accepted.
